The painting does not do this staircase justice. It is grand and sweeping, leading to or from the lower backyard patio with a water fall on the left hand side, surrounded by lovely potted plants. The homeowner designed it, and together with his wife, they keep the yard and gardens of their wonderful home well-tended and visually exciting. I was thrilled to paint in this garden on the Lake Forest Park Secret Garden Tour in June 2024.
